Where There Is Pride, Therein Can Dwell No Fullness of Love (Part 1): ‘Love Is Stronger Than Pride’ Series
Wheresoever there be pride, therein can dwell no fullness of love. It is by this one (of many) reasons that this is true; wheresoever there is the decision to be made between love and pride, without the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit, and whether you know it or are aware of it, or not - pride will always reign supreme in one way or another. To the carnal mind, carnal tendencies are the inherent inclination. This will be evident in at least one facet of your relationships with those closest to you or another, and even in the way you perceive and interact with others.
Pride creates a veil that obscures, hinders, and limits your mind and senses. It acts as a partition between what it wants and allows you to see, think, feel and perceive, and reality. As though it were a person standing behind you with their hands over your eyes, except, in this context, they’ll never ask, “Guess who?” they’ll simply do their best to keep you blind until you eventually stumble into one who sees, or fall into a pit.
